Yes, I understand what you're talking about. Someone ones said that actually we're making a choice only among the things that are presented to us. Like free choice is just an illusion of sorts.
And when you say it was a matter of "right" and "wrong" choices for both of them it all makes sense. On the other hand it's a little bit hard to think of Kyu associating with Mimi as a "wrong" one seeing this is actually a Qmi fic ;D
